“As a heart led entrepreneur, I often find myself in a decision battle between my head and my heart. What we’re taught is ‘right’ in business doesn’t always feel ‘right’ for my business and I’ve loved the integration of heart and head with Laura’s values lens to guide my choices and next best step. When you do business differently, you need to do business coaching differently and Radicle was such a great fit for me. Working in the non-diet space can feel isolating and polarising at times but it never felt like that in this group.
I love how Laura was able to guide me (and us) though various sticking points and offer her perspective without ever feeling like I ‘had to’ or ‘should be’ doing anything that didn’t feel aligned. Laura has planted many seeds in me that I think of often when I feel stuck with something. I particularly loved the way Laura supported us through marketing concepts and how to do it without feeling icky.
Coming together regularly with like minded people was so supportive and I loved learning though their challenges, perspectives and ideas as well as Laura’s. Radicle was a wonderful decision for me and my business and I know I will continue to use the content to help guide my business growth for many years to come.”

“Radicle was everything that I was looking for at the start of my business and, to be honest, it has been a constant voice ever since. I wanted a place to tap into my values with guidance and time for reflection. I wanted to ensure that I was creating a business based on MY values and not someone else’s. I wanted to prevent burnout in my life and in my own business and not repeat old habits.
If you are looking to tap into your values and run a values-based business, Laura Jean is the person you want in your life. Laura Jean is a master at her craft; she is wise, insightful, honest, and compassionate. She challenges the status quo and challenges you as a human. She helps you put words around your values and guides you into taking actionable steps to live in those values.
Although radicle was a wonderful 6-month program, it was much more than that. Radicle gave me the tools to consistently reevaluate my wants, needs and values. The most important thing that I learned during radicle was to listen to the person from within and understand that values can change as we grow and unlearn societal values. And maybe more importantly to ask ourselves if we are turning our values toward ourselves. Creating time and space for the human running the business is just as important as the business itself.”

“Radicle really helped me to map out how to make my human-centred business work better for the human at the centre of the business. The content is like a permission slip to focus on you- building a business that works for you and feels aligned. The way we covered money and marketing were particularly helpful for me, none of the ‘ick’ factor that is so often present when discussing these topics.
I found being a part of this program super motivating, inspiring and refreshing. Laura is an awesome facilitator who truly practices what she teaches! The connection sessions were such a great opportunity to get to know likeminded women in business, troubleshoot my own queries as well as hear about the ways other are running their businesses.”

“Through Radicle and with Laura's help I went through the process of really exploring my values, beliefs and goals. The group was so supportive of each other and our individual growth, an amazing group of women! Choosing to run my business in alignment with my values gave me the confidence to take the next step and turn my side hustle into a now thriving private practice.
The connections I made during Radicle have turned into friendships and support systems that I feel very grateful to be part of.
Thank you Laura for putting Radicle out into the world, a space I didn't know I needed but am blessed to have been part of.”

I am very grateful that my path aligned with Laura’s and I took the leap of faith to work with her in the Radicle support program. I had more recently started following her on Instagram and became very interested in her approach to business. It was something very different than classic methods I had been “shoulding” on myself to be and do.
I have taken endless webinars around business to do’s and marketing. Which often left me feeling very overwhelmed, anxious and urgently feeling like I needed to do things entirely different. I am a person centred dietitian NOT a sales funnelling making machine. But like most wanted to have a thriving business. But it always felt icky and not authentic.
I don’t think a week goes by that I am not connected, using or applying constructs from Laura’s Radicle program. It truly has helped shape my business in so many ways and has allowed me to reevaluate what matters most. I no longer am “shoulding on myself” to be and do things the classic urgent way. I am better able to sit with ideas and changes to make more values aligned choice. Be curious and see the bigger picture of what this is bringing me closer to. Along with identifying where I fit into my business as a person that also has needs. Laura helped me to evaluate sustainability and advocating that it be built in now rather than when I am burnt out. Having the permission to do business differently and gently exploring what that could look like is what the program is all about.
I also really enjoyed the connection calls where specific questions and sticky situations could be navigated. It was such a comfortable atmosphere where everyone was so supportive. I enjoyed making connections with people all around the world that were going through the same business hurdles as I. It was helpful to have dedicated time and space to work through questions with the group and be guided by Laura.
I absolutely would recommend this program to anyone who is craving a shift. Laura is compassionate, kind, very insightful and always injects a good pun. Bonus of course is the Australian accent, Aussie mannerisms and gardening tangents. She brings social justice into business which is not recognized by most business support programs. Lastly, she cares deeply about her work and the humans she helps support.

I am so very grateful for your generosity. I wasn’t sure what to expect for the 6months with the group, even though you are very clear and map out exactly what to expect, 🤷 I was nervous at first to be in a small group with only a few other people that I didn’t know, and you leading with your values made it so easy, as you do, to show up as a whole ass human.
When I was having to eat during calls because I was at work… or just because I needed to… I was v uncomfortable at first. By the end, after having interactions with the others in the group and being in a space together where we could all show up with what we had each time, messy, hungry, confused, frustrated… all of it. I felt so supported both by you and by the others in the group. The space created felt safe to be.
I have walked away from RADICLE with much more than I could have anticipated. Some of my big takeaways are:
—Values are a home base to come back for our why, our vision, dream, for NS regulation, decision making, direction, planning, goals, and pricing.
— revisiting values and checking who’s they are, are they really mine?
— continuing to revisit my money stories and whose values those attach to.
—anticapitalist doesn’t mean anti money or resources - the goal of everyone being as resourced as possible, Me benefiting doesn’t mean others are not.
—Building in a pause not just for a moment to breathe, but so we can ground, analyze, reflect, recalibrate if needed, and integrate.
—Dreaming into my business/ideal day/ dream for myself and the world around me is a big fuck you to Steve by succeeding, deciding what that means to me, and helping others AND myself
—My business is a tool for meeting my needs, but not just money… yes, basic needs, but also creative needs and connection
—Having a money goal with a why, not just a random number. How much money vs what is it for? What does it allow me to do? Money is a tool to meet my needs.
—Considering my own humanity, that I’m not a robot, I can communicate with my people in an honest way as I learn and evolve in the process of building my business when I'm learning, and unsure, and uncomfortable...
I’ve got a lot of hold ups around money… so grounding into my values, even if I can’t quite name them, is supportive when trying to shift the way I think about money as a tool to resource myself and those I work with.
I’m still trying to wrap words around my values, that part is harder for me, but I can start to see a shape and trust that the words will come as I revisit, reflect, and revise.
Also, having the recordings is really useful when I can’t make sense of my notes! Thank you again
